Socio-emotional Needs of Academically Talented Children

What: We'll be learning about intellectual, social and emotional needs of academically talented students. These include things like anxiety, attention deficit disorder, sensory processing disorder, giftedness and twice exceptionality.

Advocating for your Academically Talented Child
When: Wednesday March 13th 2024, 7 PM
Where: Zoom
Who: Julie Luck Jensen, Pamela Shaw, Deanna Markos from Illinois Association for Gifted Children (IAGC).
What: The advocacy team at IAGC will be educating parents on how they can go about advocating for their children at the school, district, state and federal levels. We'll learn about relevant laws as well as those legal changes IAGC is currently advocating for.

What: Open discussion between attendees on how the year went and what could be done differently. Find ways to support PA teachers & programs, updates from the District. Voting in a new 1st VP & Treasurer
